Petruchio is Katherina suitor. He has come to Padua to look for a wife who is wealthy. Wealthy is his number one requirement looks and other traits are not taken  into consideration. He is told about Katerhina by Hortensio as he needs some to marry Bianca older sister Katherina  before he can have a chance of marrying her. He is only attracted to Kate due to incentives such as, Baptisia her father would them half of what he owns when he dies. When Katherina and him meet for the first time they battled with verbal intelligence, Petruchio equals Katherina hot tempered character; he makes nearly every phrase vulgar which inferiorities Katherina. Which results her slapping him, Petruchio reacts by warning her if she does that again he will retaliate. Petruchio tells Baptistia that she just pretends they are not in-love in public. Petruchio sets a date for the marriage. Petruchio intends to tame Katherina.

Petruchio turns up late and in abnormal clothes for the wedding and makes her leave without going to her own wedding feast ( reception). He starts to tame her in different types of her humor. The first is that he shouts at the servants and throws food at the servants and prevents her from eating the food (make her fast). One of servants realize that he is treating her with her own medicine. He then presents and jewelery but says they are not good enough. He then also stops her from sleeping.

Meanwhile Bianca decides to marry Lucentio. Katherina wants to go, but as she is Petruchios property he orders her she will have to agree to every he says no matter if it is false or not, then she’ll be allowed to go. She tests her by saying that a man was a little girl and the sun was the moon.

At the wedding the newest married men (Lucentio and Hortensio) taunt Petruchio that he married a ‘shrew’ (a mouse like creature with a long snout). He then decides to have a contest to which wife is most obedient. They call all of their wives only Katherina appears before them and he wins. He then tells her to tell the other wives about honoring your Husband.

    Ibukun,

This work is a clear demonstration of a new and impressive improvement in your attitude to learning. It’s directly helpful to what you will be asked to do in the assessment.

Your next focus needs to move to the language the characters use and how this expresses their emotions and unique character. Remember, anytime you need to, you can access the entire script with a (unreliable) modern english translation at:
